Be a warrior on your child’s behalf, fight for them!

God hears your prayers and he has not stopped working in the heart of your (prodical) wayward child. Be a warrior on your child’s behalf. You are working with the strength of Jesus within you. Pour in the truth of God’s word with love. As a praying parent, your job is not fighting with them, it’s fighting for them! In Jesus name, you are given provision and authority under heaven to go after your child and snatch them from the grips of the enemy. They are loved by you and have freedom in the name of Jesus who is love and our redeeming savior!

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” Psalms 127:3-5

“Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.” Micah 7:18

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.’ And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.”  Luke 15:17-20

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10

Whatever your battle there is this certainty, it will end in defeat, but which type of defeat will you choose?

DefeatingTheEnemy

Whatever your battle there is this certainty it will end in defeat, but which type of defeat will you choose?

Defeat can be placed into two categories:

  • Defeat or the act of being defeated by something which has power over a person or object

  • The act of Defeat or defeating something or someone, which in turn shows conquering, victory or power over such things

The bible teaches that we are overcomers, victorious in defeat through the name of Jesus. This victory is a victory of belief, obedience, and dependence on Him; without whom we as Christians can do nothing to defeat sin and the evil that comes against us. It is in the keeping of His instruction, through daily obedience and speaking of who Christ is to the opposition, that we walk out our testimony of power over defeat.

What comes against us as opposition can defeat us if we let it.

  • Defeat is not always defeating of the flesh, it is hard fought within the spirit, yet through Christ, we have the power to make it obedient to victory.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every claim that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

  • Be aware of what you are defeating.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

  • We can cause our own defeat through sin.

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

How do we claim defeat over opposition?

  • Call on the name of Jesus, who has been given all authority under heaven.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18

  • No matter the battle you face, know The Lord empowers you to be an overcomer.

Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. 1 John 5:4-5

Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1

  • Through the cross, it is done, now share this and your testimony of overcoming victory and defeat.

And they have conquered him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony… Revelation 12:11

  • Stay humble in your defeat

But by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10

“Do not walk in life as a defeated person, instead walk in Christ defeating everything that life throws at you!” ~Christina Calk~
