Walk in a Victorious Mindset

IMG_6872Life can certainly be difficult, however you do not have to identify yourself as a victim of life’s circumstances, challenges, diagnosis’ or finances.
Instead choose to walk in a victorious mindset by claiming these things:

• I am favored by God

• I am a willing participant in goodness & mercy

• I am courageous

• I am a world changer

• I am a perseverant warrior

• I am the child of the “I Am!”

• I am a child of The One True King Jesus

• I am effective

• I am a faithful witness

• I am a leader

• I am a protector

• I am a seeker of wisdom

• I am expecting miracles

• I am a lifelong learner

• I am teachable

• I am reachable

• I am reliable

• I am worth more than silver & Gold

• I am brave

• I am gifted

• I am rich in love

• I am a unifier

• I am blessed beyond measure

• I am not a quitter

• I am resilient

• I am gentle

• I am not a victim

• I am healed

• I am loved

• I am an overcomer

• I am a strong contender

• I am looking forward

• I am a giver

• I am generous

• I am kind

• I am a helper

• I am forgiven

• I am forgiving

• I am hope-filled

• I am important

• I am useful

• I am stable

• I am a nurturer

• I am saved by grace

authority

• I am victorious

Declare these things over your life, it will both challenge and change the way you face each trial, bring hope to yourself, as well as bring hope to others watching you go through it.

Love yourself as Jesus loves you, victoriously and watch your mindset heal!

Whatever your battle there is this certainty, it will end in defeat, but which type of defeat will you choose?

DefeatingTheEnemy

Whatever your battle there is this certainty it will end in defeat, but which type of defeat will you choose?

Defeat can be placed into two categories:

  • Defeat or the act of being defeated by something which has power over a person or object

  • The act of Defeat or defeating something or someone, which in turn shows conquering, victory or power over such things

The bible teaches that we are overcomers, victorious in defeat through the name of Jesus. This victory is a victory of belief, obedience, and dependence on Him; without whom we as Christians can do nothing to defeat sin and the evil that comes against us. It is in the keeping of His instruction, through daily obedience and speaking of who Christ is to the opposition, that we walk out our testimony of power over defeat.

What comes against us as opposition can defeat us if we let it.

  • Defeat is not always defeating of the flesh, it is hard fought within the spirit, yet through Christ, we have the power to make it obedient to victory.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every claim that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

  • Be aware of what you are defeating.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

  • We can cause our own defeat through sin.

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

How do we claim defeat over opposition?

  • Call on the name of Jesus, who has been given all authority under heaven.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18

  • No matter the battle you face, know The Lord empowers you to be an overcomer.

Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. 1 John 5:4-5

Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. Psalm 144:1

  • Through the cross, it is done, now share this and your testimony of overcoming victory and defeat.

And they have conquered him (the enemy) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony… Revelation 12:11

  • Stay humble in your defeat

But by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10

Get Up. Get Prayed Up. Advance.

Ever find yourself seemingly stuck in an endless funk? You feel as if you are held in a period of time where life seems to have dealt you a series of gloomy circumstances, in which your feet seem stuck in the drudgery of daily obligations.

The sound of your heart pangs instead of beating, your vision is clouded with the obscurity of worry and anxiety. The days appear to blur together and you simply feel that life is just too much to handle! So you sit down… and you stay there… You stay in a funk, stay tired, stay immobile, stay gloomy, stay unfocused, stay, worried, anxious and overwhelmed.

Time to get Steady: You are not obligated to remain in this season! You have a choice, to stay or choose to get up. Getting up means also mean looking forward. It is important that you remain to look forward, while moving forward.  If you are looking behind you, you will stumble.

“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because they trust in You (Lord).” – Isaiah 26:3

“Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze is straight before you.” Proverbs 4:25

Psalm 57:7 “My heart, God, is steadfast… ” This writer goes on to say that he will sing and even make music! His praise offers hope even in the midst of trial.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 “May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.”

Get Ready: Focus on what is good. The best way to squash the two “Negative Nelly sound entrance ramps to your brain,” your ears, is to control what comes out of the exit ramp, your mouth!© Get ready to center your thoughts on what is going well, even if it is only ONE small thing. Now get ready for this, good news, given the world, a HUGE gift of perfect goodness, Jesus. Focus on Him.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” – Philippians 4:6-8

Get Up: Jesus gives strength when there is none. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Ask Him to give you a renewed hope to push past the dark days and move in the right direction with His guidance. Then get up knowing He is with you.

Get Prayed Up: Sometimes in your funk, things may seem so gloomy, you just may not know how to pray, so just start talking to God, just talk to him. He is always ready to listen to whatever you have to say, yes He even wants to hear your cries of pain, sadness, guilt or even disappointment! He loves you, He attends to the cries of your heart as well as the praises of your heart. Prayer is part a beautiful ongoing relationship with the Lord, that grows as you continue to spend time with Him.

Romans 8:26-28 “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Time for Advance: As you steady your feet, get up, and get prayed up, you’re ready for advance, to begin doing good works within your life and within the lives of others. Doing good works is also a work of self-discipline. You may not always feel like doing good things, yet the more you do things that are good the Lord equips and prepares you in advance to do good works! Wow, how amazing is that!

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Advance the kingdom in your home! What does that mean? Love your family like Jesus loves you! Find opportunities to do good things for your family. Forgive others quickly. Create a happy environment wherever you are. Bring a spirit of unity where there is division, just as Jesus did. Boldly show love even on days where love is the hardest emotion to show, that’s advancement!

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
